  Excellent bike tour of Brooklyn. Our guide Tom was a responsible, enthusiastic, friendly, highly informed guide. We saw and learned an enormous amount about Brooklyn. Great stories, anecdotes, descriptions. Lots of history & cultural/political/socioeconomic context. And this despite the fact that our very full tour only covered some 25% or less of the borough! Travelers will go home with a head full of memories & impressions. Great food along the way. All things considered (a busy urban area on a Halloween weekend), our guide kept us safe throughout. We mostly stayed in bike lanes throughout, which lessened the risk considerably.

  My husband and I always try to do a bike tour in a new place when we travel. We found this tour when we searched Trip Advisor. We are avid cyclists and were extremely pleased with the quality of our bikes. John had an encyclopedic knowledge of the area and took us to places where he doesn’t usually take groups. We were a very small and experienced group and John knew we could handle it. It’s great how he is able to tailor his tours individually. We stopped for a pizza lunch and had happy hour on the water afterwards. John saved us a boatload of money, by having us take the ferry back, instead of our planned ride share. “Best tour guide in the best city in the world!” Thanks, John, for a great time!

  Super fun tour of various parks, bridges and landmarks. Easy and accommodating. Going over bridge was cool.

  We try to take a bike ride when we travel to a new place. Having never been to Brooklyn, we were excited to explore its highlights by bike. We had a great day on bikes in Brooklyn with John. He was a great guide and showed us Brooklyn in a way you won’t see it on your own. Our tour included a stop for pizza and a stop for drinks too! John is very accommodating and adjusts the route to meet your desires and tastes.

  We did this trip today and had a wonderful time! Not expecting such a thorough and informative tour and pleasantly surprised. I was nervous about biking in traffic, and was glad to see the bike lanes in place - very progressive! I always felt safe and in good hands. Our tour guide was well informed and tailored the ride to our interest and abilities, with welcomed rest stops as it was very hot. I would highly recommend this tour and look forward to future adventures.

  Excellent 5 hours spent with John on this Brooklyn Bike Tour. It is definitely the one thing to do, allowing me to see, feel and even taste the better part of Brooklyn, i.e on a bike with a fun, good and knowledgable fella like John. I highly recommend this bike tour to anyone visiting New York. Well done John.

  The tour was a nice ride through Brooklyn. Tour guide John was very knowledgeable about the history of Brooklyn. I recommend Brooklyn Giro bike tours if you want to see some places that you never seen before. We stopped at a nice place to eat pizza. We stopped at another place for drinks.

  This was a great, and easy, 20 mile Brooklyn Bike tour. The guide is super well-versed in the area and keyed off our conversations to customize the tour, such as taking me to a delicious pizza place, down to the river, and a couple other places that would be meaningful to me. I will definitely do the other Brooklyn tours when I return.

  If I could give this tour 6 stars, I would! John is the ultimate Brooklyn tour guide; he is passionate about the many neighborhoods, passionate about biking, and is constantly making you laugh with his anecdotes. John took us through many neighborhoods to main attractions and off the beaten path; he has a deep understanding of the architecture and history of all of the places we went and shares his knowledge in a fun way that isn’t formulaic. John left us with many recommendations and ideas of what to do when we come back to visit. As stated in other reviews, John tailors each tour to the crowd to ensure the best experience. I will definitely be doing John’s water front ride down to Coney Island next time I visit! If you are on the fence about this tour, I encourage you to take the dive; you will have a blast and see and learn things that would be impossible without a local.

  I highly recommend Brooklyn Giro Bike Tours. My 19yr old son and I wanted to see and explore Brooklyn, and the Brooklyn Bike Tour was a perfect way to do it. Our tour guide John was great. First, he knows all the roads and neighborhoods, and made it easy for our group to travel through on bikes. Second, he has a passion for the history of Brooklyn and described how the different areas of Brooklyn developed into what they are today. His story-telling about the history was a great compliment to the biking and sight-seeing. Finally, John was great at customizing our trip as we went based on the group's interests. I'm sure no two tours will be exactly the same, and I think that is great. Highly recommend.
